The Sear Reichland Plenipotentiality, or, more commonly, The Searland.

geography

The Searland is, striclty speaking the areas adjacent to the River Sear, and River Grissen. It also contains the Great Searland Forest, which forms its northern border and the Black Peaks which form the Southern border. It is bounded on the West by the River Sanka'a and to the East by the Circle Sea. Most of the Searland is dominated by the Great Searland Forest, a primeval woodland realm  of stark pines and ancient oaks. The forest is almost completely uninhabited by sentient creatures, being the realm instead of great bears, wolves, boar &c.

South of the River Sear and along the River Grissen, the country evens out into rocky badlands, leading up into the mostly barren Black Peaks. In the East, near Waltzburg, is the spectacular Devil's Bowl, the result of a huge meteor impact 400 years ago, which effectively rendered the region lifeless. It also interupted the course of the Sear and drove the vast majority of it underground where it empties into the sea through a series of tidal coves. The coast is Sacred to Aroa, a desolate and rocky place, windswept and dotted here and there with the ruins of the Karlarien Court and the temples of the Aroa.
