Upton Lorregard is a staunch pacifist monk, a former cultist of K'horne and a member of the party. Though he abhors all manner of violence, Upton studies a special hand-to-hand form of grappling known as Daihatsu, meant to intercept and fend off physical attacks while inducing no permanent harm to the attacker.

Upton has been given access to a wealth of secret information concerning the strange abilities of the Ivory Serpent, an organization of medics who can bend reality to transfer injury and illness from one individual to another. Upton deliberately keeps this ability secret from the rest of the party.

Above-average height, pale complexion, with a bald head and short, bristly beard running the length of his jaw. Usually clad in a plain white robe. His vows of poverty and nonviolence means he usually carries very little with him - never any weapons or money.
