Baron Boris Todbringer travels north across Harkania, seeking to advocate for Prince Willem Winsyre, heir apparent to the Lightlander Throne. He does not travel alone, however. Alongside him are various and sundry Thorvahldian soldiers, citizens and officials alongside allies from distant lands, strangers, camp-followers and opportunists.

- Sir Adrian Drake, former Knight Eternal of Thorvahld, the bigoted, thouroughly blue-blooded Drake is a dedicated knight and has been a thorn in the side of the racially diverse party
The Thorvahldian Militia
- Maximillian von Genscher, head of the Thorvahldian militia who once served as Captain of the City Watch after Vonsam Aris was arrested as a potential murder subject.
The Mercykillers
- Lord Septimus Rafiel, armored in jet and wreathed in the smoke of his Malleus Maleficarum, he is the undisputed firelord of the Mercykillers, ruler of Caravelle and tyrant of the church of Tyrako, seeking to kill mercy in the name of true justice.
