Taniwha

Nearest Relation:  Tuatara

The Taniwha is a large, marine reptile, living in shallow seas and coral reefs near the twins and the western seas of the circle.  With a ridge of spines along its back and a large blunt head, the Taniwha looks like a dim and brutal predator and indeed, to the fish and seabirds it preys upon, it often is.
