Searguard Outlaws
The Searguard Outlaws are a group of dedicated freedom fighters and liberators working out of the Forests near the ruined town of Wittgendorf.
They are led by "Black" Sigrid Rausch, a trapper and ranger, turned military strategist. Other prominent members include Wolfgang Kugelschrieber, Hieronymous Blitzen, Conrad Rakewell, Dr. Gerhardt Brundt, Graf Ludwig von Wittgenstein and Orin. They are dedicated to eradicating the presence of Chaos in the Searland, safeguarding the uncorrupted citizen of the land from the malevolent pressence of the Dark Heart of the Woods, and rehabilitating mutated citizens. They were about 50 members strong in the late autumn of 1699. But it has swelled to nearly 375 core members since the fall of Nuln and the militarization of the Bogenhafen guard.
Act II- Death on the Sear The Searguard Outlaws led the party into their forest hideout, after discovering that the adventurers had been responsible for several riots and unusual activity in the town of Wittgendorf. Monica and Gerund managed to convince Black Sigrid that a diversion on her part would allow the party access to Castle Wittgenstein and lead to the end of that vile line. Sigrid and her outlaws delivered with flying colors and sent several beastmen to the gates of Castle Wittgenstein. In the aftermath of the Castle's destruction they managed to rescue several Wittgendorf citizens from the rubble as well as the remaining Ghuuls not slaughtered by Kelein Follendorfer. Conrad Rakewell and Gerhardt Brundt both left the party to stay on as members.
Act II Intermezzo Since late fall, the Searguard Outlaws have only grown. About 375 members live within the walls of Searguard Citadel, as the outlaw camp is now called. But more than man power at the heart of Chaos dominion, sister factions have sprung up across the Searland, under the tutelage of Outlaw members who have spread their message of liberation and impending crisis as far as Bogenhafen in the west and Kemperbaad in the east. Under Brundt's supervision, some small improvements have been made in slowing the advance of chaos infection in a human body. Kugelschrieber and Blitzen have helped improve Searguard Citadel defenses as well as making a small core team of engineers and mages to help in the fight.
