Osankari

The enigmatic Osankari are a race of sentient, vaguely humanoid sea-creatures from throughout the coastal and deep oceans. They appear roughly humanoid form the waist up, with bodies covered in plates of chitin, "hair" fromed from fronds of silky flesh and pronounced, rubbery gums like those of toothed whales. From the waist down they are a series of of hollow, fleshy tubes which they use to propel themselves by expanding and forcing water through. This makes them look somewhat like they have octopus arms on their lower portions. However, their lower apendages are not tentacles.
