Moktok

The Moktok are a race of sentient bipedal mammals from the cold steppes and taiga of Mok'tur. They resemble bipedal frogs with a dorsal ridge of spiny hair and large tusks at the edges of their mouths.

Physical Appearence

Moktok, have larger, thicker skulls than human beings with a large, underslung jaw and a pair of tusks protruding from the sides of the mouth. They have the vestigial nubs of horns on their foreheads and a sloping posture with a dorsal ridge of spiny hair that runs from top of the head to the small flap where the Orkish ancestors had a tail. Orkish hands are five fingered with an opposable thumb, but they have longer nails which are slightly more clawlike.

The most notable difference from human beings are the thick, powerful, reverse jointed legs which end in splayed, webbed toes. Orks also have small gnarled spines on the insides of the arms and legs to assist in climbing. Their faces have broader features and have been likened to pigs, but the comparison is not apt, and perhaps a bit cruel. Orkish women have heavy pendulous breasts and both men and women have more than the dorsal ridge of hair on the tops of their heads. Elsewhere, they have spiny, coarse body hair. Their coloring ranges from orange to dun, and many of them have a subtle striped pattern on their backs. The dorsal hair is nearly always striped and is usually dark brown in color, though it gets whiter as it gets older. Some Orkish men have beards, but moustaches are rare. With their legs fully extended, Orks would stand about 7 feet tall, but they usually, unless they are jumping, prefer to rest in a backwards squat, and therefore are effectively about 5'0 or thereabouts. Their torsos are large and rotund, with a much larger chest cavity and pot bellies.
