LeucrocottaLeucrocotta
Height: 4 feet at the shoulders Length: Weight: Lifespan: Habitat: Steppes of Moktur Diet: Carnivorous Nearest Relation: Badgers
The Leucrocotta is a large, quadrapedal carnivore, a relative of the badger, which lives on the cold steppes of Moktur. They stand about four feet tall at the shoulder, with long legs and four-toed feet which allow them to gallop across the steppes with relative ease. Their bodies are compact, and slightly flattened with a bushy tail and a distinctly musteline head. They are fierce hunters, similar to wild dogs, preying mostly on smaller weasels, squirrels, rabbits and rodents, though they have been known to attack larger creatures if provoked, or desperately hungry.
If cornered, they fight savagely, raking with their forepaws and worrying at flesh with their jagged jaws.
They are favorite mounts of the Kandle-Dandle, who lull them into submission with domestication glamors. Domestication through non-magical means has thus far proved impossible.
