KirinKirin
Height: Length: Weight: Lifespan: Habitat: Snowy forests of the northern Kisugochi Empire Diet: Herbivorous Nearest Relation: Relative of the dog, but resembling horses
The Kirin resembles a horse more than its canine forerunners, with an elongated head, and herbivores broad teeth. Only the padded feet instead of hooves and propensity for wagging its shaggy tail still suggests its origins. The Kirin, in addition to its generally equine shape, sports a long flowing mane as well as a single spiraling horn jutting from just above its eyes.
Though a shy herbivore, it lives a solitary existence, relatively undisturbed. It has been learned that the reason for this is flesh so toxic, is causes an agonizing death to anything that eats it. As a result, the Kirin, with its pale white coloring and opalescent mane, tail and ankle tufts is believed to be the king of the forests, a sacred beast so holy no other animal dare touch it. Kirin are protected under Kisugochi law and killing one is an offense punishable by death.
