Judge Alexander Roarke
"There may have never been a better man. Thus, there may have never been a greater threat to our well-being." -High Priest Ulric
Alexander Roarke (born 1662) was the most junior member of the Thorvahld judicial triumvirate and Grand Magus of the Purple Hand faction based there.
As a Law Lord, he was responsible, not only for rulings in cause celebre trials, but also in helping to shape new laws ratified by the Baron. He considers Judge Tea-at-three Joachim as his mentor, yet has more of a policy of bending the law to ensure order. Roarke trained as an archimancer at Seagarden, and was a favorite student of Haryld Jonsyn
He has had quite a lot of contact with the party, beginning with meeting with them as part of a four-man cabal to inform them about the current tax scandal (ostensibly on the side opposed), then guiding them ever so slightly along during their time in Thorvahld. Most notably, he began something of a dalliance with Sylviana de Nedici, during which it was revealed (somewhat unexpectedly) that he was the leader of the Purple Hand.
He then arranged a discussion with the party, which ended in impassioned pleas from Al'Mahdi and others, and convinced Roarke to perhaps re-think his alliance with the Changer of the Ways. After the Battle for Thorvahld, where he collapsed a bridge to prevent Mercykillers from taking their revenge on him, Roarke was given a map to the Searguard Outlaws and a thaumic candle. His current whereabouts are unknown.
appearanceHe is in his late 30s and good looking, with shoulder length brown hair, a very calculating look, green eyes and broad shoulders. |
