Jack DashiellJack Calvin Dashiellthe son of a wealthy merchant in Guiomar he is out to seek adventure.
Early Life
Physical Description
Jack is a physically fit male human, standing at about six feet tall. His hair is black and straight. He keeps it cut short and tidy. He has his mother's strong features, but his eyes are dark blue like his father's. His skin is tan from spending a lot of time outdoors. Jack dresses simply, usually wearing just a clean shirt and trousers. He wears one piece of jewelry: a ring which he says has brought him good luck in the past.
One of the first things people tend to notice about Jack is that he has an excellent poker face, and it's often on even when he's not playing cards. His expression changes rarely, and is generally difficult to read. Personality
Jack is a cultist of Tyrako. He firmly believes in justice. Wrongs should be righted, and if life gives you lemons, it's probably because you have done something to deserve them.
Largely because he is an advocate of justice in an inherently unjust world, Jack never had a lot of time for other people. They always seem to let him down eventually. Those who have known him for a long time know that he is quite capable of being charming and engaging, but that more often than not, he prefers to keep to himself. He asks questions when he is curious. He makes friends with people who have skills he wants to learn, or who can help him in other ways. He does not tolerate people who have nothing to give him, but can be loyal to those who prove their worth to him. Jack takes the good deeds of others for granted, but has a very long memory for misdeeds and indiscretions.
One of Jack's favorite things is playing cards. He has always been good at it. Perhaps it's that it is social interaction with well defined rules and boundaries. Perhaps it's the thrill of winning money from strangers. What is certain is that he enjoys it, he's good at it, and he has very little sympathy for people who lose money to him.
