The Dolotai are a mysterious, extra-terrestrial elder race which is credited with having guided most of the circle's sentient races in their infancy.

The departure of the Dolotai is an event so far back in Circular history that it is almost the stuff of legends.  Were it not for the Osankopolis Library, Runestone Circles and other archaeological, academic evidence it woudl be almost impossible to tell that the Dolotai had ever existed.  In terms of physiognomy and physiology, nothing is known about the Dolotai and hte artifacts found belie no hint as to their physical being or even if they had one.  

Arcadian wall carvings done by primitive humans often depict the Dolotai as a man with ix pairs of arms, or a giant eye or a hand outstretched.  It is not known wehter this is meant to represent an actual Dolotai or a crude symbol of a powerful, supernatural presence.  

What is know, however, is that they dominated the whole of the Circle and yet none of their cities and little of their technology remains.  A Dolotai corpse has never been found.  The Dolotai left the Circle for reasons unknown, yet many still feel their presence.
