Lifespan: 80-120 years

Habitat:  Deep waters everywhere

A native of deep waters nearly everywhere, the Con Rit Scolopendra, more commonly called the Whalewyrm  is a huge aquatic mammal, similar to a whale but possessed of many pairs of fins, usually some 30-50, which give the strange appearence of a whale crossed with a centipede. It moves through the water with a strange undulation, and creates great eddies in its wake. The beast is quite large, specimens have been reported but not confirmed as growing to over 200 feet in length and is a viscious predator. It feeds on deep ocean giants like the Kraken and Leviathan, but has been known to attack other whales and of course, ships which it mistakes for other prey. The Scolopendra is highly prized for its fatty oils, which protect it from deep ocean cold and thus has been a favored if highly dangerous prey for whalers the world over.
