ClockTech

ClockTech is an abbreviated term for Thaumical-Clockwork Technology. It is distinguished from the sister disciplines, Clockwork or Coggery, in that it employs the mechanical sciences and apparatuses of Clockwork (gears and springs) and combines it with motion centric magic that radically enhances the output of devices, making a large number of inventions possible which, if made without magic, simply would not be worthwhile.

ClockTech was pioneered by the Mad Machinist in the early part of the 17th century. Its first applications were in weaponry: clockwork targes, grenade launchers and early forms of the now infamous Harkanian Blundercog.

Later applications mid century came into common practice with innovations in agriculture, manufacture and personal use. Arguably, the pinnacle of ClockTech is the Clockwork Factory, a self-winding building used in large scale manufacture which can run for days or even weeks without being wound.
