The Ch'karn are a race of sentient bipedal mammals from the frozen northern reaches of Ch'karna. Their lineage is unknown, but with great antlers, rams boney crests, hooves and vaguely bovine features they are thought to be somehow related to bison, aurochs, stags, rams or some other ungulate ancestor unknown to humankind.

Physical Appearence   

The Ch'karn are massively large, standing between 10 and 12 feet tall, and weighing nearly 2 tons, all of it bone and muscle. Their faces are flat, and leathery, fringed with shaggy hair. They have glassy bovine eyes, From their skulls rise huge branching antlerts, though a lesser strain bears bony, backwards curving ram's horns. Their upper bodies are powerful with long arms that end four fingered hands, including an opposable thumb. Their legs are bent forward at the knee, but have an extra back bent joint which leads down to a pair of cloven hooves. They have large humps like bison, which contain fat reserves and their whole bodies are covered in long shaggy hair, with the exception of the face, front of the torso, palms of the hands and genitals. Their coloring ranged from reddish brown to dun to black to white to gray.
