Balaurian Hydra

Page history last edited by Emily H. 1 yr ago

The Balaurian Hydra, though not a true hydra, is a multi-headed reptile native to the Ugarite Valley, Marble Coast, Western R'hundalla and even Southern Sevilla

The Balaurian Hyra looks like a powerfully built monitor lizard, about 10-15 feet long with a brainstem located in a large, armored cavity in its neck, from that chamber, the neck splits off into eight thing necks, about 4 feet long culminating in a large, reptilian head. Each head is controlled by the central brainstem, working in consonance with a small ganglia that handles stimulus response and gives a modicum of independance. The Balaurian Hydra is a fast and viscious hunter, preferring to slink down into sand or low grass then launch lightning fast ambushes at small pack animals, snapping all around it with its head, oping to bring down one. Their scales are sleek, aerodynamic, allowing it to run quickly over short distances.
