Al are hideous remnants from the aelven ages.

They are river dwelling monstrosities almost humanoid in shape, with a stunted, squash-nosed face. They are covered in long, grey-green hair that groes from their back and drapes over their faces and extremities, which are naturally covered in thick, mottled hide. Their teeth and nails contain startling amounts of copper and brass and give off a dull metallic sheen. From the tops of their heads grow a number of proboscoi ending in primitive eyes, which the Al uses to see with while underwater. The Al, like all of the aelven creations shows a marked weakeness to iron, thaumic iron in particular. Al are solitary and prefer to hunt at dusk. Curiously, they are among those few mammals which are egg-laying, depositing their brood in nests of reeds along the riverbank. The eggs are made of a chitnous fiber which is rife with brass, tin and copper and are quite valuable if recovered.
