1699 - Act II: Death on the Sear

It centered on the party's voyage by riverboat down the Sear river in an attempt to defeat the Red Crown and foil the plot of the Twisted Companions. It included encounters not only with Etelka Herzen and the Red Crown cult, but a purge of the horrific von Wittgenstein family as well as first meetings with Tom and the Twisted Companions.

Scene 1 - Down the River

• The party leaves Bogenhafen. Juliette is accosted for the first time by Avicenna Banecaller. The party arrives in Wirkeheld.

Scene 2 - A Fateful Meeting 

• After having dinner with Kelein's parents and childhood friend, Kraunder, the party makes for an abandoned inn. Stays the night and finds it overrun by Tom and his Twisted Comapanions. They are going to leave Kraunder behind but Monica kills him.

Scene 3 - The Wonderful Wizard of Nuln

• The party arrives in Nuln, meets up with Taelryn Glasfish and Bryisis Lafarel and finally Herr Blitzen.  Blitzen is walking them back to his home when they meet up with Avicenna Banecaller in front of Blitzen's home. Terra goes all witchblade.

Scene 4 - The Black Peaks

• After meeting up with Rene, a friend of Blitzen's, the party departs Nuln for Grissenwald, seeking Etelka Herzen. They discover a colony of dwarven miners, hired by Etelka, and storm her tower at the foot of the Black Peaks, She's not in, but they capture a Goblin of the Twisted Maw, Gutbag Stoat Throttler. Rene is possessed by Mathers briefly and explains his position.

Scene 5 - The Vampyr

• Heroe dives overboard, overwhelmed with the responsibility of the trip. The party meets up with Zlako, an orkish physician and helps him solve the problem of mysterious deaths at the construction site of a Semaphore machine. The party become aware that a strange chambver is below the semaphore machine, unlocked by a hexagonal key. They encounter the vampyr, Vladislaus Orlock, who very nearly takes control of Gerund. The vampyr is defeated and a river of undead are behind him.

Scene 6 - The Liche Lord's layer

• The party follows the undead for a ways, and it turns out they are headed to Issenheim to meet with Fauntleroy Mathers. He is waiting for Juliette. When they finally arrive, he tries to convince her of his position. It fails. A fight breaks out. Mathers is killed but at a terrible price. Zlako and Raif depart. Heroe turns up, kidnapped and brutally tortured by the Twisted Comapanions.

Scene 7 - Kemperbaad and Breakdown

• The party arrives in Kemperbaad and meets Sylviana's fiancee, Etienne L'Peluda. He charms no one. Gerund and Taelryn investigate the Searland Cairne. Taelryn becomes one with the lightning. Blackhand, a wight, delivers a standard to Juliette who refuses it. The party calls a big meeting and Monica is reduced to tears. Gerund and Kelein go out vigilante-ing.

Scene 9 - Strange Things Mystifying

• The party returns fropm the Devil's Bowl without Taelryn. They insert Etelka's key into the chamber under the semaphore machine and find it stalked by a ghuul and covered in traps. They spring them and find Dagmar von Wittgenstein's corpse inside. It tells of warpstone held at Castle Wittgenstein. The party decides to head for the castle.

Scene 10 - The Gothic Hamlet of Wittgendorf

• The party spends a few days in Wittgendorf, trying to meet with various factions. Kelein recieves Barakulle form the ghuuls. Gerund, Monica and the others leave the hopsitality of Monsieur Rousseaux to meet with outlaw queen Black Sigrid. They draw battle plans and prepare to assault the castle.

Scene 11 - The Bishop

• Battle plans are postponed when Monica is kidnapped by a group of Skaaven working for The Bishop, who among other things, kills Rene and brings him back under Juliette's control. Monica is rescued and the Skaaven apologize for their mistake, believing her to have been a mutant. Gerund realizes he too has mutated.

Scene 12 - Into the Heart of Horror

• The party assault Castle Wittgenstein and forces their way in. While outlaws battle the mutant armies, the the party explores the depths. Fight and kill Lady Ingrid, Kurt, the butler, the charnel pit, rescue Ludwig, confront Lady Margitte and the von Wittgenstein monster. In escaping set off Skaaven fuse. Gerund runs back to save Ludwig. Faces off against Ulfhednar, Castle Blows up, Gerund within.
